4.1U Stuck on Health and Safety

I just installed Rock N Roll Climber and NyxQuest with Waninoko's .wad Manager and after restarting, I pressed A on Health and Safety and it froze up at a black screen. Turned power off and then back on and the Wii remotes stopped recognizing that there was a Wii in the room.

I'm on System Menu 4.1U and if I hold Y with GCN controller I get "4.1USA" in the bottom right. Have only done softmodding, no modchip; have no idea what I'm supposed to do next.

This is a banner brick. If you have cios corp you are safe. If not you need an auto booting Modchip. P.S. i tell you what disk after you awnser the questions

I have no idea what cios corp is so I'm gonna guess I've never installed it; is there any way other than a modchip? If it comes down to modchip or sending it back to Nintendo I'd feel more comfortable sending it to get wiped.

Actually, thinking this over, sending it to Nintendo seems like an awful idea since there seems a good chance they'd decide I voided my warranty.

What's the correct chip to get, and is there any way I'll be able to unbrick this without losing all my save data?
