Hi! I had the same problem as screwy81 so this thread has been a big help for me too. I also have a wii with 3.4E firmware and hbc and preloader 0.29 installed. (I couldn't install bootmii though). I dowloaded unbickmiiPAL.7z and installed it like you said. I could finally access the system menu again.

But when I tried to enter the settings menu I got the opera error message as screwy81 explained. I tried cIOS downgrader 1.2 but my wii froze while it was "initializing network". (My wii is not connected to the internet.) I had to use the power switch to restart the machine. I tried a couple of times more and the last time I tried to enter the settings menu I didn't get the Opera error but a black screen with white text saying: "****EXCEPTION OCCURRED***FrameMemory:90000940H..."and stuff like that. I had to use the power switch again and the system menu loaded as normal.

I still can't access the "settings" menu and the IOS dowgrader just freezes as I explained above. So what can I do? Hope you can help me with this problem!

    unbickmii PAL.7z
Thanks! The PAL version did the trick. I now have 3.2E firmware.

Looks like it's all good now, although I haven't dared testing any games after the downgrade. I would like to do an NAND-backup, but I guess I have to buy a Gamecube controller first. I have to install bootmii as an ISO and it's not possible to navigate using the power and reset-buttons on my wii.

(Having bought a mod chip, memory card reader/writer, SD-card and now having to buy a GC controller the whole hacking thing is getting expensive.. )

Hi johnathon any advice would be great, i have a bricked wii here that plays games on neogamma through homebrew(mario kart & paper mario i.ve tried), wii remote's sync fine when game is on but can't get to system menu (will not select anything on 'home screen').

GC controller works fine when i boot into homebrew from bootmii but when i launch wad manager gc controller a&b buttons stop working and i am stuck on the push a to continue screen.

I was on 4.1e when i bricked, semi first with 'corrupt files' message and able to get to preloader then overnight a full brick - black screen/no preloader/no remote sync.

The only thing i can think of is savemiifrii with a game cube controller (press and hold the D-pad down all 4 arrows may require for you to unscrew it to do so). And see if you can get the 4.1 in the bottom right hand. If you do there may be some hope but it doesn't sound good because it sounds as if IOS60 is gone then there is no hope sorry.

    Hi leedo
System files corrupt mess (if you have home brew channel) just switch power off & keep finger on reset, switch power on (until u get system menu) then just download wad file (ISO 30wad) & INSTALL 1ST THEN DOWNLOAD system menu-v290 wad & install that, then restart should reset your wii to health & safty channel (this is PAL version only) & older wii

    Hope this helps
