Lightbulb Can't get the GC controller to load the boot! BRICKED.

I've been working on fixing my bricked Wii for the past few days and I've been doing tons of research. And I believe that in my situation the only way for me to unbrick my Wii is to either buy a SaveMii or get this GC controller to start the boot. I need to be able to boot a Wii game with FW 4.1 (or a boot disc but I don't have a mod chip) so I can upgrade my FW 4.0 and thus unbrick my Wii. Right now my Wii will turn on via the Wii controller or the power button, all the lights come on, the disc drive spins, but all I get is a black screen that will occasionally flicker or just flicker when it turns on. By the way, my Wii became bricked from bad .wad and at first I got the, system files are corrupted message, and I tried to use the homebrew channel through my preloader to delete the bad .wad and I thought I did, but now i get a black screen and can't get into the preloader or anything. I've taken the GC controller and made it so that I can push all for directions on the D pad at the same time and I've tried to get the Wii to straight boot a game probably 100 times. I really need some advice, if anyone can help please do! I'd love to save my Wii. And if anyone feels like a SaveMii would help me and they have one they are willing to part with, let me know. Thanks!

    Unhappy

What was the bad .wad because it sounds as if you un-installed IOS60 which is a very important ios in 4.1. That is just my assumption because i have seen this a good amount of time.

    This time i made sure....

To access the recovery menu it's cheaper to get a Gamecube controller, they do exactly the same thing as Savemii. If you can get this to work you will need that modchip to recover your Wii as the recovery discs are backups.

No game currently contains an update for 4.1, the highest current level is 3.4. This will only work through the recovery menu, again with modchip.

I'm also wondering which wad you deleted?

I don't suppose you had preloader or bootmii installed?

I uninstalled a super smash 64 .wad and I'm not 100% on the other .wad I uninstalled but after you say that, and I was just doin some other research, it really makes me think that I uninstalled IOS60. I'm thinkin I did because I should be able to get the resuce menu with the GC controller easily. Well, I believe you've solved my sad problem and I'll have to go buy another Wii. Thanks for the info!

So quick question, is IOS60 very important no matter which FW you have? And I thought the new Wii Sports Resort have a 4.1 update?

Yes IOS60 is very important, it's like the front end for System Menu 4.0 and 4.1 System Menu - WiiBrew

IOS60 is used for the recovery menu, it is used by preloader and your Wii will not boot without it.

IOS60 is not used in System Menu's below 4.0, IOS50 was used for 3.4 and IOS30 for 3.0and up.

A lot of people say that WSR has a 4.1 update, it doesn't I've checked and it's good old 3.4 on there. Discs are compiled and pressed months in advance and always lag a while behind the internet updates. Besides if you did indeed delete IOS60 then you can't even rely on that methof of fixing. Sorry.
