Semi Bricked Wii when trying to install a WAD

    Hello everyone....

right basically i have an American Wii which was on 3.2U and decided to soft mod it. I was keen on getting wii sports resort I saw a bunch of torrents for it and thought cool download the game and spend the money for the game to buy two motion plus thingys..

I read that there was a problem when 1st loading sports resort and that i need to use newgamma channel (i have soft modded my wii) to get it to work...so found a wad version of it which would install the channel on my wii....so thought okay cool....

midway through installing an error came saying cant install wad reset your wii so i did that and THEN the only thing that would happen is the health and safety warning then pressing A causing just a black screen thats it....researched and found out about the wii recovery menu....which meant i had to buy a new game with the 3.3U update on so went to ebay and got Wii Music....

Game finally arrives do the whole recovery menu and insert wii music....waited saw the bit which would usually happen after you press A after the health and safety but the screen stayed black...so turned the wii off, FW changed to 3.3U but i still have the same problem

Health and safety screen press A then black screen.....

can anyone help me on what to do???? also i didnt think to put bootmii on as i thought my wii wouldnt brick...(now i feel dumb for not installing it)

    =)

Well you can give it a shot with a newer game with the 4.0 update such as the Conduit or you can try reading this first before trying anything else:

No game carries a 4.1 update yet. Why does everyone assume that the latest games carry the latest updates? Discs are months behind, they have to be manufactured and distributed all over the world and that takes months of planning.

    According to this:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...rick-tips.html

You will need a modchip that is preprogammed to autoboot, then install it and get the autobooting universal unbrick disc v2 from that post and insert and you can work on your wii from there.

Check Welcome to Modchip Depot - Modchip-Depot.com for autobooting modchips, should be under brick special
