Full Brick - Sys Menu 4.0U

    Full Brick
    System Menu 4.0U
PreLoader .29 (Doubt this will help now)
    Removed IOS 60 (Boneheaded move)

So I updated to cIOS38 rev14 and decided to go brain dead and reload IOS 60. I got the System Files Corrupt message, but could still get into preloader and launch HBC. I removed IOS 60, rebooted and now have a full brick. I removed the Health and Safety Screen early on so I never see that, it just comes up flickers and stays black.

I was thinking of trying the SaveMiiFrii, Drivekey, and Nintendo's Offical Wii BackUp Disk v1.31. You think it is worth buying the Drivekey or do you think I am screwed?

Only buy the Drivekey if you can access the recovery menu.

Sadly I don't think you can as you deleted IOS 60 which it requires to operate.

Same for Preloader, it needs IOS 60 too.

By all means try though, get that GC controller and take it apart.

Otherwise Bootmii as boot2 would be your only hope.

So I am a little shaky on the whole SaveMiiFrii (GC Controller hack). Do you just hold down all directions on the exposed D-Pad, or do you hold the Up, Down, Left on the D-Pad and the R1 (is this the Z button or the Left trigger?). And If I have no disc in the drive when performing the SaveMiiFrii should it still report my System Menu version in the lower left?

I have read and watched the you tube videos about SaveMiiFri, but call me old fashioned, I still like a bulleted list of instructions. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

Having never needed to perform it myself I'm just working of tuts myself.

There are quite a few tuts on here about them though

    Here's one. http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ner-brick.html

I thought it was the D pad.

    You ARE old fashioned!
