Us I think I screwed something up...

    Yes, hello.
I'm new to this homebrew stuff, yet I figured it out rather quickly. Here is the problem:I recently backed-up MKA NTSC version and burned it, yet the game black screened after the controls screen. I tried to reinstall things in the like and when I reinstalled 3.2E, my Wii system menu was grey and the screen would rapidly move vertically, almost impossible to see. The odd thing is that, AFTER I figured out how to get MKA to work, the backup loader played the game in full color no problems, so did geckoOS2 with my non-backups. I just now reinstalled 4.1, thinking THAT would fix it, but of course it didn't... Could I get a pro to help me have a useable Wii menu?

    EDIT!:
I found the source of the vertical screening problem, for some reason the settings were on 50p instead of 60p, yet the color is still gray in the wii menu, any ideas? I'm also currently downgrading to 3.2E again.

If you run NTSC games on Pal you will get grey screen due to incompatability, you change settings in BU launcher to fix this.

Best way is have Preloader 0.29 installed as this will do multiple things, eg Pre Boot to recover from partial bricking, Region Free, Block updates + more
Then install Bootmii, preferably as Boot 2 if your wii will allow it, and back up Nand that way you can recover your Nand if you Brick.

If you are going back to 3.2E, I would leave it there as this before Truncha.
I use 3.2E and GX Loader Rev 633 and I can play any game or app using cIOS R14
    GOOD MEN SLEEP SOUNDLY
    AT NIGHT,
    KNOWING THAT ROUGH MEN
STAND READY TO DO VIOLENCE ON THEIR BEHALF IF THEY DON'T INSTALL IOS 38, 53, 55.

Press at the bottom right of the post if this response was of any assistance.

What region is your Wii, PAL or NTSC? I only ask because you said you were playing the NTSC version of MKA, but are on PAL firmware i.e 3.2E as opposed to 3.2U.

Figured it out, I was using 3.2E instead of 3.2U which PAL worked on my OLD tv and not the new tv that I'm using now, so reinstalling E must of screwed up the video settings to PAL. =P
    Thanks for the help.
