I switch on my wii and i just get a black screen, the health & safety screen does not even appear. This happened after installing wii update for wii sports game. I don't have bootmill or preloader installed. I have try savemiifriii but it doesn't seem to work, all i get is a black screen with no version number at all. I don't have a modchip install yet. Is there any possible way to get it to work again.

I'm sorry I can't be helpful on this one. A modchip won't help with this one.
You should never have accepted an official update. Nintendo even put a warning in the update telling you not to do it.
I'm surprised by how many users feel it necessary to downgrade to 3.2 while not fully understanding the consequences. Softmodders should avoid official updates like the plague. No game is worth the price of a new Wii.
Unless I am very much mistaken you now have a low level brick, which is not recoverable unless you installed preloader or bootmii.
so not even savemii can help me then?
I don't know if savemii works any better than savemiifrii. Besides that trick is mainly for banner brick.
A black screen suggests a completely messed up operating system that is called low level brick because it has corrupted at the root level.
Do feel free to search for a solution on google for a low level brick, it's often half the battle when finding solutions to ask the right question.
savemii does the same thing as savemiifrii. it accesses the same files.
yeah ok, but i need to check my bluetooth module or dvd drive first. I am waiting to receive a drivekey which comes with the two screwdrivers to open it up and check them.
I think you are clutching at straws here.
For the bluetooth module to unseat itself or break just at the very same moment as you updated your Wii system with the Wii sports resort disc is an unimaginable coincidence as is the drive suddenly breaking.
Good news though. You'll have a nice shiny drivekey for your next Wii.
So would it work if i changed the bluetooth module or the DVD drive over with a new one?
