You are right... Ios249 (Actually ios36 with trucha bug mod by waninkoko)
But as i said... It is a LU64 and... im pretty sure you only can install like 2 different cIos only... if i remember correctly only Ios 16 and "Cios Fix" could be installed on a LU64 wii.

I already tried with UUDv2 without any luck... keeps givin me "Eject disc... a problem blabablablabla..." like the disc is dirty.

aragan - duuude... I am in the EXACT same boat as you :'(

    • 4.0U, LU63x, D2E Wii
    • NeoGamma WAD R5 was installed via HBC and now I'm bricked
    • I now get black screen after Health Warning
    • No kind of "safety/anti-brick" measures were installed before I bricked (so I have no hackmii, bootmii, USB/SD preloader etc)
    • Wii originals and backups all boot fine
    • NO rescue discs of any kind will boot (UUDv2, LCRD, Pink Fish, AnyTitleDeleter, Wad Manager etc)
    • I've tried Drivekey and Wii-ClipV3 - nothing helps. Drivekey is set to AutoBoot btw.
    • I can get to Rescue Mode - but nothing changes

Your theory about finding the right IOS and making a custom rescue boot disc w/that is brilliant - i sure hope you or someone else figures that out. If I can't figure this out I may send the Wii to a shop for a repair or wipe.

Anyhow - if I ever figure out a fix I will certainly let you know - please do the same!!

    Later

I think our only hope... is to wait for the release of SSBB hack... then make an autoboot 1:1 "un-trucha signed" backup... and the rest is history...

I´ll keep searching... i let u know if i got lucky...

Same here aragan... my only other options are a.) find a dependable repair shop who claims they can fix it or b.) find a way to use the spare parts from my D2B Wii** to get my D2E Wii unbricked.

(** My D2B Wii fell off the mantle one day so now it will randomly just "power off" for some unknown reason - so it's basically unusable now besides short spurts to test stuff - and for spare parts - if I knew what to swap out w/my D2E)

Try removing the blue tooth card... then power on... wait 10 secs... unplug power cable... plug BT and power cord again... power ON...

    Hope that helps...

EDIT: Wait a few days... our problem can be fixed with bootmii... im doing some tests...

BTW - I'm fascinated by what this was about! What research is this tip based off of?

I did this tonight btw and the Wii's been on w/out shutting off for 1.5hr now... I'll wait and see if it goes all night... /knock on wood...

    based on...

    Long story short.

Got a "bricked" wii... just black screen. tried everything... but black screen... but... SOUND!

So i opened the wii... then checked everything... i said... wtf... lets unplug the BT card... did as i said, plug everything back... voala! that did the trick...

I think your problem was the same... no black screen... but maybe a false contact...

    Hope that helps....

Weird... well my issue was the Wii literally turning itself OFF... where even the RED light would go out... don't know how it would be the Bluetooth module but who knows I guess - it did fall pretty hard.

I'll leave it on all night and see i guess... thanks man

    Theorically...

With an Infectus...A nand dump from a wii with Bootmii installed (Has to be the same model and BOOT2 version as the one u have bricked...) an BetWiin...

We can solve any kind of "brick"...

I think the best way for a banner brick like ours... is to wait for the release of comex SSBB hack...

but if u have tried everything and have good skills soldering... (and a few bucks to spend ...) u can try with those tools...
