Hello, i have TWO wiis banner brickeds, one of them in the 3.2u, and the other in the 3.4, so i want to know if the save mii free doesn't works, what can i do? or i've doing it wrong? may be the timing?
The savemiifrii should work on the 3.2 Wii. Doing the SaveMiiFrii trick is a bit tricky sometimes. It could take up to 30 attempts just to do it once. Just make sure that your gamecube controller is plugged into the fourth port and make sure you're pressing all four directions on the d-pad. As for the 3.4, it may also work.
I've got the same thing on my Korean-bought Wii which doesn't have any mods other than being changed to English menus, but it locked up tighter than a drum when I ran the system menu update to 4.2Originally Posted by marjanniel [Only Registered Members May View Links| Click here to register]
I've contacted Wasabi about using their DX chip & got a mail back saying that it's hopeless at this point trying to un-brick these Korean Wiis.
Even Nintendo USA isn't willing to help me, even if I beg to pay them to fix it.
Mine is going to be a $250 paperweight & I am really ticked off about the whole thing.
I'd just move on, but I've got the balance board & tons of games too, so I will see about buying a used one someplace local soon, during the Christmas rush coming on I don't think this will prove easy or cheap.
attached are pix of my mine almost completely disassembled
it's a D3-2 drive also which both Wasabi & Drivekey are saying they can't support yet.
Wiikey has a new version coming out called Fusion that is supposed to work with D3-2 drives, but it will not allow for playing backups from DVD:

Does anybody know if there's any legal sue if sending the bricked Wii to Nintendo factory in US?
Sending it in is allowed, however you will be charged for repairs and shipping. Its usually $75.00 for repairs only.
