    Bricked Wii + No Signal

    Dear All,

I have an oldie white Wii that was bricked quite a long time ago. However, I am wondering whether there might be any chance in recovering it.

So, my Wii turns on (red power on light turn to yellow/green), when one inserts DVD disc blue "flash" appears. However, that's it. It does not "connect" to the TV as it shows "NO SIGNAL", although all the cords are applied. I tried NAND reset thingies with SD card, however, nothing works.

Thing is that I do not remember what went wrong but I obviously do not have a backup of anything from Wii system, unfortunately.

Any ideas what could I do?

    Thank you a lot !!

    Few questions:

What do you mean by "nand thingies"? That doesn't mean anything to us. You will have to be more specific.

Did you have bootmii installed as boot2?

Can you get into priiloader? Hold in the reset button while powering on your Wii.

How are you connecting to the TV? Composite, component?

What region is your Wii and TV? Pal, NTSC?

Can you turn on the Wii with the remotes, or only the power button?

I am sorry, I did not know what details I should add!

So, I do not have any bootmiis, neither priiloaders (i guess -> when I power up Wii, it does not show anything on the TV screen).

I connect Wii with composite wire with a transfer for a HDMI.

My Wii and TV are PAL.

I cannot turn on Wii with remotes (their 4 led lights only blink in blue for a few times), although, Wii can be powered up with the power button (there is a blue "flash) in DVDROM

I tried this "thingie" here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSpnaq3Xa7I but it did not help (as Wii does not show anything on the Tv screen - it does not even show up as plugged, although all the wires are connected).

Big time fail with the nand formatter...

Anyways, remove the HDMI converter and try plugging straight into the TV first. Also, can you tell if the blue light flashes just once or twice very quickly?

    Dear cjizzle, thanks!

Regarding the NAND formatter - I doubt that it'd done anything. TBH, I am not the best Wii-hacker, obviously, haha.

Anyways, I connected Wii to the TV directly with a composite wire. Although the TV still shows NO SIGNAL, however, there is some kind of white flash on TV, when I turn on Wii on (there is still NI SIGNAL visible).

There is only one short blue flash when Wii is turned on.

Last ditch effort, go to the softmod any Wii guide. In chapter 1 select the "other desperate options" spoiler and try the instructions for a boot2 Wii. Doubt it will work since if you had bootmii installed as boot2 you would see 2 flashes, but try anyways. If that doesn't work, sorry to say it but you are probably screwed.
