    Wii bricked - HELP!

    Hi everyone,

I've been using my Wii with homebrew channel and USB loader GX for some months, and when I came back from holiday today and tried to load my Wii, I ran into an issue.

I loaded a game (Taiko no Tatsujin in this case) via USB loader, this stalled (as it sometimes does), so I powered off and tried again (which normally fixes the issue), but the Wii loaded to a black screen (i.e. there is something onscreen, but it is just black and the TV say it is picking up an NSTC signal (I use a PAL TV)).

The green light is lit, the connected HDD spins up and the eject button works.

I have tried holding the reset button and powering up, but this does not help, the WiiMote will boot the Wii, but will not pair. Have also tried removing the PSU for a few minutes.

I have not made any changes since this was last working, so I don't know what could have caused it. The only change is it not being used (and being switched off at the mains) for the past two weeks when I was away.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Sounds bad. Did you have priiloader installed? If it was installed and is now not working, not good.
    You could try savemiifrii
You could try another power brick
You could try switching from composite/component cable, but I don't think that would be the issue since your wiimote does not sync.

It is possible that your loader, game, cios or some combination bugged out on you and corrupted something important on nand.

Do you have a nand backup?

What version of usbloader gx where you using?
    What cios version?

Hi Mauifrog, thanks for getting back to me.

I don't have a NAND backup I'm afraid, I can't remember if I installed a preloader tbh (this was set up months ago, and this is the first major issue I've had), but nothing is happening when I hold reset while powering on.

I think it was USB loader GX V 3.0, I think I'm on CIOS 249, but as I say, this was set up a long time ago, so I could be wrong.

EDIT: Will savemiifrii even work at all? As I don't have a drivechip installed.

Savemiifrii probably will not work, but if it did you would have something to work with. http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-...creen-wii.html

I thought you'd need the modchip to autoboot from a disk, am I missing something obvious?

Also, looking at that post, I didn't remove some usb devices when I tried to boot into preloader.

Looks like I may be buying a new Wii though :'(

EDIT: Have removed all USB devices and the SD card, and still nothing.
