I have a Bricked Wii. Can I fix it?

not sure if this the right place for me to raise this question. Plz move it to the proper column if required.

I've a bricked Wii at 4.3u, black screen after a bad Wii_sysMenu was installed. I can only load and run some games (e.g. Castlevania, Carnival, WiiFit, CYuGiOh,....etc) with the autobooted backup disc from RM. Yet, everytime I EXIT from HOME, the console goes to black screen and stop as is.

my question: is there a way to patch the autoboot disc (ISO) with a System_Menu and force the Wii to proceed a system update (ie. 4.3u or whatever), so that I could recover the console ??

    any comment will be appreciated.
    thanks.

You may already know this, not sure.
If you have a patched ios80 just run B.L.I.N.D. autoboot disc, reinstall system menu 4.3u, then reinstall priiloader. If you have priiloader do the same by loading wiimod from priiloader. Same if you have boot2 bootmii, just use cboot2 to load wiimod. If you have not boot2 bootmii, priiloader, or patched ios80, use the following method to load wiimod via smashstack- http://www.wiihacks.com/bricked-wii-issues-only/33029-guide-how-fix-korean-4-2-error-003-unauthorized-device-has-been-detected-200.html

mauifrog, thank you very much for the suggestions.
I've been failed 20 times, trying to load in the B.L.I.N.D. autoboot disc (and serveral x2-speed burnt disc.)
The disc just keep spinning for over 3 minutes, then I power off the console. Too bad, the bricked unit has no Priiloader
because it's recently reformatted. (my bad !)

Then I think Smash Stack pal is your only option.

    hi mauifrog,
Smash Stack, probably, be my last resort !

yesterday, I've tried to apply disc swap, using Carnival Games with Wad_Mgr_v1.3 patched. There happened once loading in the WM,...then, out of my curiosity and without continue to use WM, I shut down the Wii and try to practice again...................... The result: no luck to get WM again, ever since.
what's wrong with me ? I really don't know and I can't remember how I get into WM before.
    any clue, plz ?

You can use disc swap to load a patched disc, but the ios that the game runs on needs to be patched. The swap method is the same, just make sure you let the disc spin up and the disc headers match. There are details for making such a disc at the end of the 003 guide in the cioscorp fix spoiler.

yes, I've been tried several games to challenge the Disc Swap method. Castlevania, Carnival Festival, MK,..... so far, no joy.
need to seat back and think what I did wrong with the disc, the process, the timing,....
(by the way, the autoboot Disc-1 that I used for above experiments are workable in a "normal" chipmodded Wii. Not workable in my Bricked baby.

    EDITED:
what's been encountered when using the Disc Swap method (i.e. with Disc-2 patched with WM_v1.4 boot.dol) :
Load in "Castlevania Judegment, as Disc-1" successfully via RM
press [HOME] at Game Title screen > swap disc-2 > press [HOME]--wait 0.5sec--[HOME] >restart from Wii screen
the game continue to load in > Disc-2 keep spinning without pressing any button > show Nintendo & Komani logo on screen >show game intro movie on screen
    > press A > show "NOW LOADING..." > show game Title screen "Press Any Button" > the game can be played flawlessly ... !

Why no WM_v1.4 shows up ?? could anybody enlighten me , please ??
Might it be some wrong in the process when I replace WM_v1.4 to the main.dol of game iso ?

p.s. Is it the " Castlevania Judgement Game Title" on screen to swap Disc-2 ?
    game_title.JPG

ADDITIONALLY, with a patched SSBB as Disc-2 (ie. ID as 0SBE01), the SWAP ended up "An error has occurred. Press the Eject button....." on the screen.

now, I've no idea about the failure.

Just a follow up of my thread on Oct.17.

    Dear mauifrog,
thank you very much for the advice and file sharing.
I'll get some DVD+R_DL and DVD-R to try the Disc Swap (ie. with the castlevania judgement and the carnival festival), right from beginning again.
    regards,
    billy
