    Unhappy Wii Brick

Hi. I think I completely bricked my wii but not sure. I had homebrew installed and bootmii and some other things had just updated those and tried installing ios's so I could use the usb loader which didn't work some stuff I tried to install it froze or didn't like my wii remote cause it wouldn't let me mmove. I had 4.3u installed and downgraded the system to 4.1u or tried (thats when it bricked) and I got a blank screen and thats all I get. when bootmii did work when it was loaded with homebrew it was one of those that either froze or didn't like the remote. can anyone please help me. just wanted a unlocked wii so I could watch movies play backup games and such

If your Wii is newer than 2008, then you wouldn't be able to play DVD movies or backup games on it anyway, even after softmodding. So this is a case of "research first, then do".

Are you still able to boot into anything? Wii Menu? HBC? Priiloader installed?

Did you use our guide? or tried to use someone else's guide?

I did do research and got alot of mixed messages. I think prii loader was one of those that either froze while trying to install/run or it woulfn't let me move in the menu/didn't like my remote or whatever

So, does anything work? we need to know what status the system is in before we can see if it can be fixed. When BootMii was installed, did you have the option of installing as boot2? or was it only as IOS?

Moved to the BRICKED section of site. OP: if you didn't replace IOS60 with a non-stubbed version, you are likely hopelessly bricked and (provided you did make a NAND backup) would need a NAND reprogrammer to fix this. Bad_Ad in UK, Krafter in USA, there are others...
