Please help! I Bricked it my Wii

Greetings fellow Wii-hackits!

Hope this finds you Wii-gurus well. :o

So, here is my story....

My Wii was working fine with HomeBrew, USBLoaderGx, and everything else....

Today, however, I decided to install the Opera browser WAD via the WAD Manager & I kept getting the "1029" error. Someone's post on this
site suggested that it could be an incorrect IOS issue. So, I uninstalled ALL my IOS via the WAD Manager & now when I turn on my Wii, I get nothing! :eek:

Please help....what should I do?

You just destroyed your Wii. Your only hope of recovery is if you have an old Wii and you were able to install bootmii as boot2 and made a nand backup. Deleting all IOS is just like deleting your computer's HDD. Nothing is going to work...

Can I use my friend's Wii that has the same 4.3u & make a backup of it & restore it to my Wii? I apologize if this question does not make sense. I am trying to understand your old Wii option that you mentioned....

However, please note that I did not make a NAND backup of my bricked Wii & hence I do not have the unique "keys.bin" file. Does that mean I can still use an old Wii with 4.3u & restore that NAND backup to my bricked Wii?

If you don't have a NAND backup of that Wii you'll need to ask a NAND programmer to fix it. You cannot just restore the NAND of another Wii, it just doesn't work that way.

@SNES_Master: Thank you for your reply. Short of buying another Wii from Craigslist, are there any NAND Programmers on this site that offer this service for a nominal fee? (Just trying to determine the most cost-effective solution).

I would wait for MauiFrog to respond, he may be able to offer some advice. He's quite the expert with bricked Wii issues.

If you have bootmii installed as boot2, then you can fix it. If bootmii is not installed as boot2, buy a new wii.

I know I've booted from BootMii before (my just selecting it from the WAD Manager, I think).

However, now, with the SD-card in or out, I get no Boot menu. It BootMii suppose to autoload?

However, again, the Blue DVD light does not flash when I power on the Wii & whether the SD-card is in/out, it does not make a difference.

This means you do not have bootmii installed as boot2. Your Wii is a paperweight. Sorry, but no fixing that one. :( You might be able to sell it for parts on the ebays, but thats all it is worth now.
