    A question please

    Hello ,

When i try an american game ( an old game ) on my japanese semi-bricked wii , weirdly , it's playable , so does that means , i can play any american game ? ( new like the "last story" and old ones ? )

    Thank you very much.

NO, luck is never lasting with your Wii play.
But, you can try it day by day, disc by disc, game by game.

So , does that mean it was by luck ? I don't get it!
Do you mean that , if I buy a new american Wii game , it won't be playable on my Wii ? How can you tell that ?

What do you mean by semi bricked? If it was semi bricked you wouldnt be able to play anything at all. What exactly is the error that is happening?

Doesn't that means my Wii is semi-bricked ?

And when i insert the american game , i can play it just fine , that's why i'm curious how and why ? also , if i can play any game from now on ?
Or is there something esle with the Wii ?

    Haha , thank you!

Um , to tell the truth , I dont want to fix THE PROBLEM
I don't care about the settings or the language , I just want to play american games on my japanese wii , I dont wanna buy a new one.
So , do you think that , if I buy a new wii game , like ' The Last Story ' US. Ver. , it'll be playable on my wii ?

And thank you thank you very much for keeping up with me!

Sound to me like you need to update your mod. Follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide, link is below in my sig. Make sure you also do the IOS Update. After that you should be able to play newer games.

EDIT: To further assist you, follow THIS GUIDE to fully region change your wii to USA

Why do you say this wii is jap? The settings are USA.

But yes, you should be able to play USA games without issue.

I would load wiimod, have a look at the region settings and set them all to USA. They are probably already all USA, then I would install the USA system menu files, found in the softmod guide. Then you have USA settings with the proper USA menu, without the semi brick.
