Many months ago I had softmodded my wii using LetterBomb. Everything went according to plan. Backed up all of my games, ran with a USBLoader, etc.
About a month or two ago, my Wii stopped booting. The disc tray would flash and priiloader wouldn't work. So I reformatted my SD card. Now my Wii will start with cboot2, but when it gets down to the "starting .DOL" message, nothing else happens. I was running system menu 4.1u. Would downgrading/upgrading the system menu help at all?
On the sd card, change the name of the bootmii folder to bootmii_s. Try that and see if it works.
I tried renaming the bootmii folder to bootmii_s as you suggested, but that wouldn't even start cboot2. I just got a "no signal" message from my TV. I have a few Gamecube controllers, which I've seen people on Youtube use to "unbrick" their Wiis. Might give that a shot. Any other suggestions before I dismember a controller?
You have bootmii as boot2, which is excellent. Do you have the original bootmii folder which was created when you installed bootmii? (It had files armboot.bin and ppcboot.elf)

Just checked my CIOS pack with MD5. Turns out my boot.dol isn't matching the checksums...or something to that effect. I've downloaded the IOS Update.zip from the link in your signature (this one: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html), so I'll try installing that and see what happens. I've got my SD card backed up on my desktop, just in case.

I've replaced that folder numerous times. Every time I boot up my Wii, it loads cBoot2. Holding reset during startup doesn't load priiloader as it used to.
Only thing I can think of is using SaveMiiFrii (the gamecube controller thing). Sorry, have no more suggestions.
What happens if you leave the folder off the sd card when you start te Wii?Quote:
