Wii bricked or broke?

I made a topic awhile back about taking apart my Wii but I went ahead and put it back together thinking it may not actually be overheated.

Basically awhile ago I left my Wii on as well as my xbox(they're right next to each other, or were) for about a day. I came back to my Wii game to see that it gave me some sort of disc read error. Later I tried to restart it but no game would read in the disc drive. That's where I thought it may have overheated. Eventually the Wii would not start correctly, and now it does not go past the Warning screen. Sometimes I get a black screen but I had it on a few moments ago and it faded when its idle like normal. This is where I'm not sure if the Wii is bricked or overheated.

All I'm hoping at this point is just maybe I can get my save data from the NAND drive somehow?

your wii is probably fried. The onnly thing i could think of is to install a new mother board. installers/ shops can be found here
or you could send it to Nintendo.(make sure Nintendo is your LAST resort. they are very overpriced)

Have you ever remove the DVD apart from Wii ? Check the ribbon cable, if read error since then.
Wii could not be overheated, unless you turn on the WiiConnect-24 and sleep with a "hot" XBox360 all the time.
It shown you black screen occasionally ? If not every time at power-on, it's likely the BT module or WiFi module has been unseated ( concerning what you've done , tearing down the Wii ).

The black screen/Warning Sign screen is what happened before I took apart the Wii. If WiiConnect24 is overheated could that keep it from booting past the warning screen? And thank you for the shop link matt2lg

YEah I figured as much. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what the problem is, though. If something were fried, it wouldn't even come up to the warning screen right?

If something (e.g. BT module) were fried, it wouldn't even come up to the warning screen.
if you take your problematic Wii to Nintendo, they wouldn't delete everything. they will return a brand new console, if certified, anyway.

If that's the case then the Wii is theoretically half bricked I'm assuming. It should be able to be unbricked I'm hoping?
