System files corrupt, Modmii wont work

After being in storage for a while I tried playing my Wii tonight to come to an error about my system files being corrupt. I tried to format the system by loading maintenance mode, but as soon as I go into the system settings menu it comes up with the corruption error. I found out about Modmii and tried using that, but the bannerbomb didn't load when I used the 4.1 version and came up with an error 004 when using the 4.2 version. I'd be happy with just bringing it back to stock. Loosing my save files arent that big a deal at this point. What options are left for me?

Please, any help would be appreciated. I don't want to have to wait for the WiiU to come out, as I will not replace this system if it can't be fixed.

Do you have priiloader installed? You can use that to load apps. Or since your on 4.3, not 4.1/4.2 you could use letterbomb or wilbrand to load apps via the message board.

What you should do-
Load wiimod, reload it on a patched ios236.
install ios80, install system menu 4.3 for your region, then load the priiloader 0.7 236mod installer from wiimods apploader and install that.

Reboot the wii, see if it works. If it still gives you error try to go into the settings again and do a system format. If you can not get into the settings, you will need to try to format another way. If needed you can load the hbc, then load neogamma and load the Nintendo backup disc (pink fish), load it from disc or wbfs formated drive. From that disc you can try to do a system format.

Also good to note that you should have bootmii installed, if possible as boot2. You should also have a nand backup. It may also be useful to make a new nand backup with bootmii and examine it with nandbincheck, that may give some clue as to your issue. Most likely you have some corrupted system files or some blocks have gone bad in a no good place.

If everything above fails your only other option is to use giantpune's nand.bin formater, ohneswanzeneger to format your nand.bin and install a clean system to it, then restore it with bootmii after checking it for errors with nandbincheck.

Wow, I am so out of the loop with wii mods, none of that made any sense. I'll see if I can figure it out. Thanks for the help.

Ok, update. I got Homebrew channel installed and bootmii set up as boot2 using smash stack. At this point I am stuck. I can get into homebrew channel and load things, but still get the error when booting normally. I tried using a wad manager to delete potentially bad channels but it fails to delete them. Is there a something I can load into homebrew channel to restore the system to stock?

Either do as mauifrog suggested and use wiimod to install IOS80 and SM 4.3 from your region, or you could follow the softmod ANY Wii guide from Chapter 2 on. Make sure you make a nand backup prior to doing anything.

You can try to delete channels with wiimods title manager in the advanced menu. "Installed channels" and "system channels" are safe to remove. Do not mess with "system titles" which contains your system iOS and menu.
