Is my wii bricked or just broken?

Hi, i just purchased a used wii on e-bay.

But it wont boot upp, i come to the welcome screen where you press A button. After i press A it goes black screen and nothing seams to happen.

And i cant tell if it's chipped or softmoded before, but i think it probably is.

So is this a symptom that it is bricked? I tried to search the forum but just found that others with similar problem had a complet black screen from start, not the welcome screen that i have..

I tried that thing with savemiifrii, with a gc-controller pressing all 4 directions on the d-pad and it seams like its working, showing upp my system version 4.3. But after that? Should i put in a game with that system version or what?

Im sorry that i writing maybe a little confusing, but im all new to this with moding etc and as you can see by my writing, im not english, but i hope you understand most of it

My main questions : Is the wii bricked and is there anything i can do?

Is there an sd card in it? if so try holding in reset while you power in on. Can you power it on by the remote?

Try holding reset while powering it on. Also, when your Wii starts up, how many flashes does the disc drive give?
Red Wii SysMenuX, Priiloader 0.7, Bootmii as IOS 254, USB Loader GX, uLoader 5.1E with external DVD drive, MauiFrog softmod. HBC 1.1, Backup HBC 1.0.3.

Tried that with holding the reset while powering on the wii, but just come to welcome screen as before. The disc drive flashes one time when i power on.

Think i read some where that it should flash two times, twice if its moded?

One question, this thing with savemiifrii with a gc-controller is it a MUST to put in a game with higher firmeware or can i use a game with the same as that i allready have, 4.3E??

Because if im not mistaken, the latest/highest firmware is just that one i have, 4.3??

    That's a good thing.

If you have an sd card try putting Priiloader on it then hold the reset while powering on again and see if Priiloader starts.

If you cant get to the system menu or to HBC, having the priiloader wad isnt going to do much. Need to be able to actually get to HBC to install any homebrew.

So... lets try this. At the health/safety screen press + and -, and while holding them down press A. See if you can get in that way. It likely wont work but it's worth a shot. This is a Maintenance mode that skips some stuff that might be causing the system menu to have issues coming up.
