Boot the wii into the system menu
Hold the red button on the wii by the sd card slot, hold it for 30 seconds
Now press the red button on the wii, and press the red button on the wiimote by the battery.

Try new batteries. Try another wiimote.

I fixed it!!! Kinda. I went out and spent $10 on a gamecube controller from a pawn shop. Plugged it in and it got me past priiloader, but wouldn't get me past the black Wii warning screen. But luckily from this screen I was able to sync my Wiimotes!

So I'm up and running and decided the best thing to do was to update priiloader. I downloaded priiloader 6, extracted it to the root of my sd card. I deleted the hacks.ini that I had changed the name of and put a new hacks.ini on the root. I installed the new priiloader in homebrew. But now when I turn on the wii it doesn't go to priiloader it just loads like a normal wii. Did I do anything wrong or should I even be worried about this? Just out of curiosity I loaded bootmii from the homebrew channel and it froze. Wouldn't recognize the controllers nor cut off with the power button. I had to disconnect the power cord. Started back up just fine though.

I've had a hard time keeping up with all the constant updates that come out for things I obviously don't even understand, and clearly mine isn't up to date as it should be. Is there a page for this? I don't want you guys having to explain stupid stuff to a noob like if its all clearly laid out somewhere else.

Anyway, thanks so much for trying to help me. I'm just so happy to have it up and running again.

no its normal. you can have it go to Wii main screen to priiloader or right to your usb loader of choice.

you could post a system check the how to link is in my signature. or simply re soft mod starting from chapter 1 part three HB channel installed. again link in my signature. it will update your soft mod.
