May I ask, what are the symptoms? Like, why do you want to do this?

We may be able to advise a better path. All wiis have boot2, some have an exploitable bug in boot1 that allows us to overwrite boot2.....

I cannot get to system menu, cannot sync wimote , configurable loader does not see usb HD, this all started when the power supply died

priiloader works , bootmii launches and scrolls on the tv screen and crashes ,I can get to homebrew

I downloaded the most current ver of hackmii installer , installed and when I try to launch bootmii the pgm starts then the wii craps out

Are you using a 1 or 2 gig sd card? Use this tool to format PanasonicSDFormatter.rar
    Code:
    Password is www.wiihacks.com
Bigger cards will likely fail. Wiimotes will only sync on system menu.

With no remotes synced, launch priiloader, wait about 15 seconds, then hit reset. It will try & launch SM.

I have one on order as they are cheap enough, but I'm not convinced it is the problem - but I will try. Are there any utilities that can launch to test wii hardware from this level? In the mean time I will get another wii to hack and put back in operation. Unfortunately I have an insatiable need to figure the problem and repair it.
