Load hbc, then load bootmii. Make a nand backup. Load priiloader and load one of the wii system channels, like news or shop. You should be able to sync your wiimote in any of the official N channels. Let me know if the channel loads and you can sync, or if the channel does not load.

If you can't sync or load those N channels, your bt module is likely dead or lose. You can also sync from wii games, so if you load a disc via neogamma you could sync wiimote. Games don't like to load with bad bt module, niether does the system menu, or channels, or anything that can sync wiimote.

thanks, I did make a nand backup 2 years ago . When I load bootmii , my screen scrolls and is out of sync with the TV , I tried re downloading bootmii , which downloads , but still scrolls.
I tried to restore via the sticky on priiloader- all steps followed and appeared to go accordingly still no system menu. It looks as if I need to get bootmii up and running some how. The power adapter that blew was an inexpensive replacement, the new adapter I'm now using is higher quality 5A SMPS for computers with all the over voltage and current protections. this should be better as I power a usb HD from the wii , and my son never turns the console off!

are there any utilities to test/verify the bluetooth mod ?

Bootmii should work with gc controller, also with the power, reset, eject buttons on the wii. Power moves to the right, eject to the left, and reset selects.

the problem is when I launch bootmii, it (bootmii) starts to load and then the wii crashes

Then reinstall bootmii with the hackmii installer and prepare your sd card for bootmii form the hackmii installer.

got bootmi to launch by first using bootmi config and changing video from progressive to NTSC
