Semi-bricked after one year of Mauifrog guide OK. Priiloader available.

    Hi,

My Wii is semi-bricked. When starting, it shows default warning screen, then goes to system files corrupted screen. Priiloader and original files backup are available. No boot2 (not available when modded).

The wii is modded following Mauifrog guide, step by step. I did this more than a year ago, no problems at all.

    Only mods:
Some IOS modifications in order to play Black Ops (again, more than a year ago).
IOS modifications with the last Kirby game. I think it was 6 months or more ago.
Some wad's installed, but again, more than a year ago. Only official ones, no cracked or injected.

The only one suspicious thing is when I was playing this Kirby's game, I had to turn off directly the system, instead normal procedure with Wiiflow, because if I tried to leave Wiiflow with the Home button, it went to black screen, no system menu. This happened always with this game.

If I disconnect the hard disk, the system files screen doesn't show up, instead it remains black screen, then after some seconds I can see the screen with Wii squares (like when you leave wiiflow and it goes to Wii menu), and goes black again and it repeats.

    Resume:
I haven't made any modifications recently. It is a sudden system files corrupted screen.

I have priiloader installed. I tried to log on it and it goes to the menu of this tool.

I would like to receive instructions how to proceed from this point. It seems that logging into priiloader is a good signal and I don't want to screw it up.

    Thank you.

Can you get to the HBC from priiloader?

Turn on the wii, load up the safety screen. Hold + - at the safety screen and press A. Does your system menu load?

No, I cannot load it. It says because maybe is not installed (or something). Of course I have been in the HBC before this problem.

Yes, it loads. It goes to maintenance mode.

    Btw, I'm in 4.2U.

    Update:

I tried to enter HBC from Maintenance Mode and it went good. Then I tried to return to system menu again and it was ok.

I restarted the Wii, this time in normal mode (not holding + -) and it was OK. I did it three more times, entered Wiiflow, message board, system and nothing wrong.

Could it be corrupted mailbox? Annoying thing if so.

    mailbrick_fix.zip download - 2shared
    MailBrick Fix

    Symptoms-
System boots to a "System files are corrupt" or similar error after pressing A at the Health/Safety Screen.
Wii boots to maintenance mode when hold + - at the health/safety screen and then pressing A while holding + -

    Fix-
Boot the wii into maintenance mode, hold + - at the health/safety screen and press A while holding + -
Load the Homebrew channel. If you do not have it, install it via exploit of your choice

Have a Nand backup or your nand keys. This is not optional, if you do not have a bootmii nand backup or your
nand keys you must make one now.
-Make nand backup or keys. Load HBC, press [HOME], select bootmii. Now either make a full nand backup, or dump your nand keys. To dump your nand keys only run key.bin_maker.elf from the sd loader in bootmii, this will quickly dump back to HBC and create sd:\key.bin

    Fix mailbrick with fstoolbox
    1. Load fstoolbox from HBC and select ios236 to load. Or other cios of your choice with es-identify

    2. Navigate to shared2/wc24/ and replace any file with the one from SD by pressing PLUS.

    3. Navigate to shared2/wc24/mbox/ and do the same there.

    4. End the app and restart the Wii. You will get a message that your Mail account is broken
    and will be restored.

If this fails, go back to maintenance mode, backup any data you like to keep. Install priiloader if you do
not have it installed, and do a system format from the wii settings menu.
