    System Files Corrupt

I have an unmodded wii. I keep getting the "system files corrupt" screen. I have read alot of posts about the issue but most of them have to do with modded consoles.
I went into the maintenance mode and formatted the memory. I restarted the wii and it went to the set up screens. select language, select time and date.....etc.

I can't even make it through all of this and I get the system files corrupt screen again. Can anyone please help me with this? I would rather not call the manufacturer, From what everyone says, it will cost almost as much to fix as a new unit.

By the way, this is a white wii, North American 4.3u.

I really don't think so. The internet connection was turned off.

are you the original owner of this wii? Perhaps it was previously modded and you did not know. If that is not the case, I would contact Nintendo and see what they suggest.

    Nintendo's advice

no, I'm not the original owner. Do you know if there is a way to get back into the maintenance mode without there being a health and safety screen?

You could hope it had priiloader installed and fix from there. Hold the reset button in and keep it pressed while you power up the Wii. If priiloader is on it then you will see it on the screen.
Mauifrog is the expert on these issues, hopefully he.will chime.in.

Sent with WiiHacks app, that should explain any typos 8-p

I think you need to try try try.... again and get that wii through the setup. Then you should look into reinstalling your system menu and ios. If you can't get through the setup your really stuck, in that case probably the only solution would be via modchip, no fun. Try to do the setup really really fast, default everything.

    Mauifrog, that worked!
Now, I can get back into maintenance mode but I have hit another road block. I think that because of the corrupt system files I am getting error 101246 (problem with wiiConnect24. Please try again later) when I try to connect to the internet.
Do you or anyone else know if it's possible to load the nand back up that I made from another wii that I soft modded into this unit?
Or, maybe someone has another idea to get this unit working again.

To even load a band backup, you have to softmod the wii. Its probably not a good idea to restore a backup from another wii. You should softmod it and get priiloader installed asap so you can have more options to fix it.
