Help shed some light on this Wii...

First off, after years of off and on reading, im pretty sure its a full brick. I just never thought that i'd happen considering having a modchip. I thought anything that would happen, id just flash the chip again & run with it. So that being said here is what i did. =)

THIS WII IN QUESTION IS 3.2u (last i remember) With Wiid MODCHIP installed Did have Preloader...

    1. Bought wii at Launch or close to it. Serial # is LU309646794 I already had bought a wiid modchip basically just because of the clever i thought name.
    2. I then installed the chip with zero issues. Ran setup cd & all games work, burned or not.
    3. Found Sports resort & acquired it, Booted game as all others and didn't run.
    4. So now the fun begins....... in my infinite wisdom ( drinking & playing wii with friends) i quickly googled how to run the game, saw needed an ios to run. So i instantly got into wad manager and installed the said ios. Maybe 223? i don't remember its been years it seems.
    5. Booted wii and instantly it had health screen all scrambled and messed up, i freaked out & still drunk mind you i told everyone, no no no guess we aren't playing this game.
    6. Apparently as i turned it on again i had managed to load preloader, i was excited and SHOULD HAVE STOPPED!!!!! i know better, but been drinking i continued on and said well lets just undo what i did, & go back to playing the games i had. & this is where i let myself down.
i know i read to never remove anything, to just install over it.
    7. So upon reboot it just gives Green Light & dvd drive spins for a few seconds.....
    8. Back then i tried burning different discs to revive it but there wasn't any new versions of updates at the time that i was aware of.

    9. So here is my question Is there anything that i can try to revive this unit? I do not know which remote was to it originally so i can't remember if it doesn't sync at boot. I know that can help diagnose also. But i know MODCHIP is in fine order. & i have access to another wii that is softmodded just fine & another that was a wiikey w/ clip. Any combination of things that could help? Sorry if any of this is hard to follow, but i haven't seen too many stories like this. I have a GC controller that i know works the version #. cause on the other wii's shows them fine. But this wii in question doesn't even try to signal the tv. Thank you to all that read this and/or try and help.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    BTW things i have
Launch - Wii 3.2u - green light. No signal change to tv. Wii drive spins for a few sec. Wiid Modchip installed - Doesn't WORK
    3yrs old - Wii 4.2u - softmodded. - WORKS
    1-2yrs old - wii 4.2u - wiikey w/clip - WORKS

That worked initially that night, thats how i removed the wad and/or ios. So dumb of me, normally i'd stop and read, but when drinking and wii'ing i thought i'd just undo exactly what i did & be fine. Cause instantly upon exit, preloader was no longer an option... =(

Thank you, i actually happened upon this while writing my problem. thing is.... on all the other wii's here atm i can get into recovery. Or at least see the version numbers. But the one i question does not, & seemed to me that (not at all certain though) that previous to 4.0 you actually wouldn't see the version number in the corner.... & if that is true since this was a 3.2u should i burn some of those & just try? & anyway to tell if successful burn without using them on my good wii's. I'd hate to ruin two that are now functioning just fine. Thanx for some feedback.

What IOS did you remove? Or do you not remember. If preloader won't work anymore, I wonder did you remove the system menu IOS?

If that is the case you should be able to autoboot a game with an update.

while the wii in question doesn't even try to signal the tv, check the wifi module. a failed wifi module will cause no video to tv.
at 3.2u with system-IOS deleted, u still get video signal output BUT a black screen. stop drinking, i guess u can tell the difference between a black screen and a no video signal screen. lol
