System files corrupted after upgrading to 4.3e

G'Day All,

Over 18 months ago I soft modded my Wii. We had USBLoader to play all the backed up games, my sons didn't destroy the originals, life was good.

Until for Christmas my son received a game with the 4.3e upgrade on it. He installed away one day while I was at work. No more homebrew channel. No more working USBloader. One very unhappy 6yr old son.

I didn't think it was too big a deal. I figured I'd be able to soft mod again and get it all back. So I let him play the games from the disks until I found the time to work on it.

Except last weekend we started seeing the "System files corrupted" error. I can boot the Wii to the home page but if I try and launch a game or access any of the settings the black screen appears with the "System files corrupted" message.

So where I stand now is:
- I have BootMii installed as boot2 (version unknown)
- My NAND.bin backup has been lost
- I don't have a GC controller

I've spent a few days trying to find a way to utilise BootMii to rescue my Wii, but everything I have found has required a GC controller. Does anyone know how to get around this?

I'm happy to provide futher info (if I can access it before the "corrupted" message).

You need cboot2 version of mmm on the root of your sd card which will load direct from boot. From there u well be able to re mod your Wii.unfortunately I am not at my computer right now so cannot link you the file

Shameless bump.

Does anyone have a link for the cboot2 version of mmm? Or any other suggestions on repairing my Wii.

I've finally found a weekend with no other commitments. So this weekend I'm committing to getting the Wii fixed for my sons (and so I can finally play Skyward Sword)!

Ok. So I fall into the "Other desperate options" category, but I've already run into problems.

But one of the WADS won't install:
cIOS16-v257.wad - Finishing

And it just hangs there. I tried powering off and back on and repeating but got the same result.

Starting to get to the point where I'm thinking of virginising my Wii. Not sure if it would help. All suggestions greatly appreciated.
