    Newbie bricked his Wii

Apologies in advance. I'm a hacking newbie, and despite being proficient with computers I probably shouldn't have been hacking my Wii in the first place. In my defense I'm not really sure what bricked it because it had been working fine for months now. Anyway, here's my info:

When I power on the machine normally I get the "The system settings are corrupt" message. Nothing about NAND, which I've seen in other threads is a message some people receive. It just says to refer to the Wii manual for information.

When I boot up by holding the reset button I can get the Priiloader, but I can't move around within it. Aren't I supposed to be able to select options by using the front buttons? They don't seem to do anything other than their originally intended functions.

Here's the information I have in the Priiloader:
    IOS v60
    Systemmenu v54449
    priiloader v0.6 (r123)
"Priiloader is a mod of Preloader 0.30"

I wish I could give you more info than that, but I don't really have much. Before this happened nothing had really changed. I've been playing Skyward Sword for the past several weeks, but that was going fine. I'd restarted the console several times since then.

The one thing I'd done right before this happened was to move the console around in my home theater console. Naturally I moved it without it being powered on, but I suppose something could have happened in the process (I didn't drop it, though).

At this point I'd be happy to reverse the hacks and go back to the normal OS, though I worry about my save games.

Could someone help this poor newb out?

I'm very embarrassed to say, but I don't remember! I did the hacks months ago and I just can't recall! Is there a way I can find out?

I've tried to get the Wiimote to connect, but it just flashes LEDs 1 and 2 a few times and doesn't engage

I'm not certain when you mean, but if I unplug the Wii and plug it in, I get the red power light.

The moment I press the power light, the drive lights once. Then about a second later, it flashes twice rapidly. Is that helpful?

I'll check my laptop. I just remembered that I did this all from there. I'll let you know.

Thanks so much for your help with this, I really appreciate it.

What happens if I don't have the backup? (I'm pretty sure I made one but I can't remember now).
