That's the point, they are not necessarily useless. Some can be simply unbricked (such as done in the WiiHacks Bricked Wii Forums). Physically damaged Wiis can be used for parts and some may require a NAND reflash.

Was some indy retailer sell them on ebay or something? How the heck do you end up with 23 bricked wiis? Other then the best weekend I can think of.

thats actually fricken smart.. with nintendo charging 90 dollars to replace the wii laser its genius to snap up useless wiis for parts.

I usually buy in lots of 10 however, the Wii account is getting high enough to start making these larger orders. I do unbrick most of them successfully, some are quite easy and other's not so easy. Thankfully most of the time it's just a hardware issue (such as BT module) but other times I have to flash Boot2 Bootmii (if possible) with a programmer and this is more time consuming. The low percentage that I can't unbrick I just use for spare parts. Sometimes I do sell the parts as well depending on how many I end up with to avoid clutter in the house.

BTW: If anyone needs a specific part I probably have what you're looking for. I have tons of face plates, screws, disc drives, cases, bt modules, wi-fi cards, etc.

That I can't share sorry, as this is a very lucrative business for me and I have a partnership with a certain (unnamed) company that I've been buying from.

Never mind showing your appreciation, if she put's up with you un-bricking 23 wii's, send her over to me. I nearly got killed for soft modding 2 wii's lol. Best of luck with them.
