WARNING: This tutorial is written for a user with average on up mechanical aptitude and an ability to follow directions. If you have no mechanical aptitude, nor can follow amply described and illustrated directions --- then this tutorial is not for you. As parts can bust/die/tear/get lost and no longer work and I don't know where you can get a replacement.
This tutorial tries to cover replacing as much of the internal parts of possible. I took my Wii apart several times in
Made this tutorial after experiencing it myself. Some iPod Touch 2G/3G and iPhone 3G[S] users may have ran into this nightmare while upgrading/downgrading. Stuck on an un-jailbreakble firmware that won't go past the plug into iTunes screen and goes into a boot loop. I experienced this when upgrading my iPod Touch to OS 4.0 Beta. The upgrade failed and I was left with a boot loop which would NOT allow you to restore successfully.
Some people may ask why not do a restore directly instead
We all remember the pesky protection that prevented us from playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii a while back?
At that time, we thought from then on, every game will have the ugly BCA protection. Seems not, in fact, the next BCA protected game has appeared this week (If it really has BCA but it seems so). As you can see from this thread, its the same way as it was with New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Although its not released in stores yet, If anyone were to get a retail disc
This is for the people in the USA and Canada who plan on buying the new Black Wii. To clear up a few things.
Yes, your new Wii will be softmoddable. It will probably come with either system menu 4.1 or 4.2 (If not all, most of them will come with 4.2), If it does have 4.2 on it, do this tutorial by me to Softmod. If you happen to have to have 4.1, Do NOT update, instead use this tutorial

This fix was made by ih8sn0w. iTunes 9.1 and above seem to cause some issues with blackra1n and blackra1n'd devices, this is the solution. If you're not on iTunes 9.1, its advisable not to upgrade. iTunes 9.1.1 blocks userland jailbreaks which is what the upcoming jailbreak (Spirt by comex) will be.
How to Use
1. Place both the blackbreeze and blackra1n .exe files in a folder.
2. Run blackbreeze and click 'Fix My ra1n'
3. Browse for blackra1n
