We don't have a full demo yet but its being worked on right now. We are working on a PC Application. This PC Application will be a huge homebrew repo for Wii Homebrew Apps and eventually DS (and more?). The application runs on the user's computer and a large amount of homebrew available from the front page and info on that homebrew. Users can download homebrew to their SD Card with the click of a mouse, users will even be able to keep their homebrew apps up-to-date as the application will also check for updates. In other words, a huge, smart Repository for Homebrew.
@homebrew_repo

(Possible) Features
- View all available Homebrew from your Desktop.
- View Info on Homebrew (Description, Version, Release Date, etc)
- Download Homebrew straight to your SD Card.
- Check for updates for Homebrew on SD Card.
- Self-Updating?

Performance
Hats off to the Acekard Team here, I can safely say, almost no other flashcart can compete in this category. The Acekard 2i has 100% capability with all games. I've tested 10 Problematic games as well as 10 other games on it, and they all worked perfectly without any patching, etc. Just backed up my original, dragged and dropped onto Acekard 2i and works flawlessly, no issues.

Also, when Multiplayer and Download Play which are sometimes problematic with some other flashcarts work perfectly fine on the Acekard 2i.

In addition, the cheat system works pretty well. The same cheats that cause my game to lock up using an M3i Zero, work perfectly fine on the Acekard 2i.

Features
- Works on all DS Consoles (DS/DSLite/DSi/DSi XL/3DS)
- Low Battery Consumption
- High Capability with Games
- Simple User Interface (Great for Kids!)
- Feature Packed Interface (Able to cut/paste, do WiFi Upgrades, etc)
- Support for Action Replay (Cheats)
- Multi-Language Support
- Supports WiFi/Download Play
- Supports various Multimedia formats (txt, mp3, etc)

Homebrew
The Acekard 2i handles Homebrew quite well, like most other cards. One good thing about the Acekard 2i is its DLDI Auto-Patching, allowing users to drag n drop homebrew applications without the need to manually patch them.

Upgrades
Once again, hat's off to the Acekard Team, specifically, the AKAIO team who's become the official firmware for the Acekard 2i. The AKAIO is a great piece of software on the Acekard 2i, once an update is needed (for example, new problematic games and need it to work), the AKAIO team simply gets the job done, over and over again. You can find downloads for AKAIO here;
AKAIO Forums

Simply download the latest AKAIO, unzip it and drag and drop the contents of the unzipped folder onto the root of your MicroSD Card.

Build
Acekard 2i looks quiet nice with that shiny sticker and the MicroSD slot is conveniently placed at the top and works without any hiccups.

Cost
For the excellent quality that's packed into an Acekard 2i, at around $10-$20, it's definitely worth it and cost effective!

Final Say
The Acekard 2i is an excellent flashcart. Currently capable on DS consoles, DSi, DSi XL and 3DS, and with 100% capability and great features for such a low price. You can't go wrong with the Acekard 2i. The Main Menu is nice and simple, it doesn't eat up battery and seems to have a nicer physical look than other flashcarts. I highly recommend the Acekard 2i over 99% of the other brands of carts out there!

Final Rating: 98/100
I'll start with the school. It's my final year of high school so alot of preparation has been going on for preparation for the CXC Exams. Just finished doing my Mock (Pre-CXC) Exams today. CXC exams are long and tough. Each subject has an individual exam and each exam has two parts; Part 1 which is 2 - 3 hours long and Part 2 which is 1 - 1.5 hours long. Doing 11 subjects, think you know how much hours of sitting down in exams I had to do.

However, exams aren't the only thing that's been keeping me busy. There's this national tournament between all high schools in the island every year called Knowledge Bowl. Each school chooses its best 5 students to represent them as a team. The schools then play each other in knock-out matches where questions on anything is asked (Science, Business, Math, Current Affairs). The training is tough. Have to do 4 hours of training everyday after school. The bright side is, we're finally in the national finals. Great prizes too.

Then in between school exams and Knowledge, I've been working on the School Newspaper and Inventor's Workshop.

Just that I'd blog that since I haven't blogged anything in a while.

Our main write-up;

Westmorland Science Project 2010
Biofuel as an Alternative Source of Energy

The aim of this project is to demonstrate how biofuel can be created and utilised as an energy source in the common household using a model. This model will demonstrate the decay of organic material over a period of time to produce the bio-fuel, and how it may be trapped and then “contained” in an appropriate vessel for use in the home.

In the small, developing island of Grenada, our predominant source of energy comes from fossil fuels, a resource that is not obtained anywhere on the island and is an expensive global commodity. In addition, it is a non-renewable, that is quickly depleting due to exploitation, and is environmentally unhealthy on combustion due to the excessive production of green house gases that are accredited with the phenomenon of global warming, and which is linked to extinction of species and increase in atmospheric temperatures. This has led us to consider alternative sources of energy, sources that are more environmentally-friendly, healthy and cost effective. Many different sources were investigated, including geothermal energy and hydro-electricity. It was finally concluded that biofuel would be a more suitable avenue to explore for Grenada.

The idea of using biofuel as an alternate source of energy is feasible in Grenada. Many citizens rely on “the land” and all its natural, organic materials daily. To name a few, many citizens consume organic products such as fruits, vegetables and ground provisions daily; lawns and “yards” are landscaped frequently; and plots are weeded and “debushed” often with agricultural practices. All this organic waste refuse, once gathered, will often be burnt, and it is not uncommon to observe one household lighting fires on a weekly basis and further exacerbating existing environmental problems. It is proposed therefore that this waste be used to create biofuel, which can help eliminate some of our dependence on fossil fuels. This is both cheaper and healthier.

Considering the amount of organic material thrown out each month, the energy made through biofuel would be sufficient to replace fossil fuels in some uses such as household cooking. Though it is not expected to completely replace fossil fuels, it is anticipated that with the right management it will provide an adequate substitute for a fair amount of the fossil fuels, thus lowering both the cost of living and the damage being done to the ozone layer. Another side benefit is a byproduct from the production of biofuel. Rich compost which can be used to assist in the production of rich crops.

Around the world, many countries are beginning to use biofuel as an alternative source of energy with a fair amount of success. Brazil has even begun using biofuel as a complete substitute fuel in vehicles or as a partial substitute by mixing it with fossil fuels. This way, the amount of fossil fuels used is still reduced.

In numerous parts of Europe, biofuel is becoming extremely popular as the amount of biofuel consumed continually increases over time. Major consumers include Spain and Germany where it is possible to buy biodiesel (biofuel mixed with diesel) in over hundreds of gas stations around the country.

Recent studies from Booz-Allen Hamilton Inc (2009) has provided evidence to show that on a yearly basis, biofuel mixed with diesel will cost less than diesel alone.

In conclusion, the world is now in need of a cheaper and more environmentally-friendly energy source. This is even more applicable in a developing island like Grenada that depends heavily on the natural environment and does not have the access to much financial support. The world is moving away from fossil fuels to more efficient energy sources. We believe that biofuel can be that source for Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

This tutorial will help you setup DIOS MIOS which will allow you to load Gamecube games from a USB device. This tutorial is long, make sure to read carefully. Make sure to read EVERYTHING.

0. Things To Note

1. DIOS MIOS is in early stages of development, as a result, it is buggy and has low game capability for now.
2. Anything done to your console is at your own risk!
3. If I mess up anything or do anything wrong please let me know as its hard for me to confirm the SNEEK stuff since my Wii has been bricked for some time now with no way of repairs. So things might be slightly off.
4.. To make it easier for people in the future, I might compile DIOS MIOS or make .bat scripts.

1. Things Needed

1. Computer running Windows XP/Vista/7
b. Run SneekyCompiler.
c. First we'll install all the needed stuff. When in the command prompt screen where it gives you a list of available commands. Type 1 and press enter. Once done, type 2 and press enter. After, type 3 and press enter. Those will install SlikSVN, DevKitPro and Python. Make sure it's succesful.

d. Now, we open SlikSVN from the install directory, then we grab the DIOS MIOS source code by doing;

Code:

	<pre class="bbcode_code"style="height:36px;">svn checkout http://dios-mios.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ dios-mios-read-only

Fruit Ninja for iPhone Review

The game has four different modes for you to enjoy;
Zen Mode - 90 seconds to score as much points as you can by chopping fruit (No bombs).

Classic Mode - Unlimited time to see how much points you can rack up without dropping three fruits. Also, if you hit a bomb, instant game-over.

Arcade Made - Newest mode that has just arrived, 60 seconds to rack up as much points as you can with bonus points and bananas that can double your score or freeze time. Hitting a bomb wouldn't make you lose but will cost you a few points.

Multiplayer Mode - take it online to play with other Fruit Ninja players. Fruit Ninja even supports Game Center.

Now that, I've pointed out all the modes, time to criticize. Nothing really bad to say about any of the modes. Multiplayer is quiet fast with no lag between games. The other modes allow you to compare your score with your game center friends and they are both surprisingly fun alone or even a simple challenge with friends passing around your iPhone to see who can score higher.

Moving on to the interface and controls, the controls are extremely simple and make use of the iPhone's multi-touch interface. So simple infact, a three year old can do it (Believe me, she played well). Just simply swipe your finger to chop.

Navigating the menu uses the same principal as in-game, chop the menu item (fruit) to navigate.

To put the icing on the cake, Fruit Ninja has a set of unlockables that let you customize your game including changing your sword colour and background.

While Fruit Ninja was fun to play, I couldn't help but notice the occasional spikes during offline game modes. Using an iPod Touch 3rd gen, the game occasionally spiked (froze), don't worry it isn't something that happens constantly. However, I'd say it's related to the game because even sometimes after a reboot, it does this, even when launching another game which takes more memory such as Asphalt 5 goes smoothly.

Overall; 4.5 out of 5 Stars

FireSheep Shows How Vulnerable Facebook and Other Sites Really Are

A few days ago, A friend of mine showed me a FireFox Add-on called FireSheep, we began testing it out. We were both connected to the same WiFi Network, interestingly, using it, we both were able to login as the other onto any website. For example, I could have logged in as him on Facebook (Screenshot here (http://shadowsonic2.net/files/2010/10/Screen-shot-2010-10-29-at-8.45.37-PM.png)).

A few days ago, A friend of mine showed me a FireFox Add-on called FireSheep, we began testing it out. We were both connected to the same WiFi Network, interestingly, using it, we both were able to login as the other onto any website. I then installed NoScript on FireFox and made it force sites like FaceBook and Twitter to use HTTPS instead of HTTP. After that, he couldn't login as me. This points out how insecure all websites really are and it's exactly the reason FireSheep was created. FireSheep doesn't bring reveals anything new. This type of hacking has always existed for a long time. This is what the site of firesheep says;

 When logging into a website you usually start by submitting your username and password. The server then checks to see if an account matching this information exists and if so, replies back to you with a "cookie" which is used by your browser for all subsequent requests.
It's extremely common for websites to protect your password by encrypting the initial login, but surprisingly uncommon for websites to encrypt everything else. This leaves the cookie (and the user) vulnerable. HTTP session hijacking (sometimes called "sidejacking") is when an attacker gets a hold of a user's cookie, allowing them to do anything the user can do on a particular website. On an open wireless network, cookies are basically shouted through the air, making these attacks extremely easy.

This is a widely known problem that has been talked about to death, yet very popular websites continue to fail at protecting their users. The only effective fix for this problem is full end-to-end encryption, known on the web as HTTPS or SSL. Facebook is constantly rolling out new "privacy" features in an endless attempt to quell the screams of unhappy users, but what's the point when someone can just take over an account entirely? Twitter forced all third party developers to use OAuth then immediately released (and promoted) a new version of their insecure website. When it comes to user privacy, SSL is the elephant in the room.

Today at Toorcon 12 I announced the release of Firesheep, a Firefox extension designed to demonstrate just how serious this problem is.

After installing the extension you'll see a new sidebar. Connect to any busy open wifi network and click the big "Start Capturing" button. Then wait.

There you have it. If you want to mess around with FireSheep, here's the website, however please don't start going onto people's wifi and logging onto sites as them ;p

Also, if you're interested on making yourself immune to FireSheep, download and install NoScript (FireFox only), which can be found <a href="http://noscript.net/">here (Click)</a>, then once installed, go into NoScript Preferences (Tools -> Add-Ons -> NoScript -> Preferences). Then go to the Advanced Tab and click HTTPS.

Under 'Force the following sites to use secure (HTTPS) connections' add in the sites you want to make 'immune to firesheep'. Note, if the site you add doesn't support HTTPS and you add it to the list, the site will no longer work. For example, if I were to add shadowsonic2.net to the list, it doesn't have HTTPS so it wouldn't work.

Here's a start-off list of sites that work;
http://facebook.com
http://twitter.com
