iOS4 Multitask Toggler

I've spent quiet some time yesterday learning how to make .deb packages for iPhone and then tweaking a couple of iPhone .plist files then testing to make this tweak. This tweak installs itself as a winterboard theme to allow the user to easily disable (or re-enable) the native multitasking on any iPhone/iPod Touch running iOS4. Simply activate via Winterboard and respring. Although this tweak was primarily intended for iPod Touch 3G, thanks to the help of Ithian, I managed to get it working on the iPhone4. To follow up, having those two devices as an example, I got it working on the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 2G.

For those who are interested, the Tweak is available at the ModMyI repo in Cydia. Just search for iOS4 Multitask Toggler.

Hey great job on the tweak. A tweak that i would like to see developed would be a 3g only sbsettings toggle. Currently if you toggle only the edge in sbsettings it disables the cellular data completely, 3g and edge. To be able to lock my phone on 3g only without falling back to edge i have to open ifile and go to var/wireless/Library/Preferences/ and open the file csidata. In the file there is a couple of lines that read GsmRegistrationMode::fRatSelection=0x1 and GsmRegistrationMode::fRatSelection=0x2. You then change the first command from a 1 to a 2 and save and reboot iphone. Once is boots up only the 3g data network be received or no data at all. I like to do this when i am going to tether my iphone to my computer and internet connection share with my wireless router. I also live close to a town that has 3g and i use a Yagi beam antenna with a Wilson mobile amplifier which boosts the signal, but with that the edge signal is amplified as well of which the phone will choose a stronger edge signal over a 3g when the 3g is above -106db.
