We all remember the pesky protection that prevented us from playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii a while back?

At that time, we thought from then on, every game will have the ugly BCA protection. Seems not, in fact, the next BCA protected game has appeared this week (If it really has BCA but it seems so). As you can see from this thread, its the same way as it was with New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Although its not released in stores yet, If anyone were to get a retail disc of Prince of Persia on release day, please follow these instructions to check for BCA (Full post by davepm here)

You need a copy of uLoader for this:ULoader

And CFG USB Loader: CFG

Run uloader with the retail DVD (or get the codes below)
Click on the show BCA option
Copy the values to a .bca file using a hex editor
copy that file to /usb-loader/gameid.bca
If you do get the BCA values, please tell us and post the values here.

I don't think it's bca protected. I'm running wasabi v3 with the newest 3.0 wasabi firmware on 4.1u sys menu and had to bca patch nsmb but not popfs. That's running from the disc menu. For what that's worth. I must admit, I do not know what exactly the 3.0 firmware did for the wasabi however.

I read somewhere else that Prince of Persia has a new IOS detection, and patches are on the way.

I was about to update my blog but I'll post it here. Seems that disc users are strangely running fine.

Sorry if this is off-topic but are you aware of super mario galaxy 2 having this same protection? It is due out sunday and I have been waiting patiently. I am bookmarking this, just in case.

Well, there hasn't been an actual dump of SMG2 yet but SMG2 is such big of a title that it would be completely weird for it not to have any protection or update (Probably protection)

SMG2 appears to not require any special attention. I just scrubbed an NTSC iso, running on WiiFlow 1.1 Rev 25, and so far so good.(CiosX rev 19 using 38 as a base, if that makes a difference)
