I am thinking SM 4.3 will probe ios for patches, and if found will brick your wii with a 003 type error.

That would be deadly and effective mauifrog. If they can do it to RC Korean consoles I don't see anything holding them back from doing it to the rest of us.

I personally expect SMG2 to be a big pita to run from backup initially, and should they utilize that timeframe to throw in a new system menu we can expect a lot of controversy to arise. I'm also anticipating whether they start analyzing the /sys/uid.sys sector by running a check against it with any titles not officially approved, then initiating an uninstall/removal or like maui suggested, an outright brick.

Yes but I could've sworn in DOP-Mii it said that this IOS is not officially supported by Nintendo and there was no IOS to download. You can download stub IOS 222, 223, 249 and a few others. Also they had a stub for IOS 254 possibly too (BootMii IOS) but there wasn't anything for IOS 202.

It's also not in NUS-Loader.

Ahh 4.3 or even 5.0 for all we know, I joyfully await the day this firmware hits just so I can see the S#!t storm it brings with it and the sheer amount of work that will be involved to get around it but my ultimate guess would be that the Big N goes after USB loading and trys to kill that while possibly offering a new menu feature as an incentive to update and I'm sure the release of Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be the untimely birth of it along with a new anti piracy measure for the countless tightasses who refuses to buy the game to try and get around.

I've been anticipating this for several months. I suppose Nintendo are the only ones who have an idea what's going to happen, rest assured it will cause problems like 4.2 did. I don't expect Nintendo are very happy with the way we got past the measures in 4.2 so quickly but at least they sorted some of those Korean modified Wiis.

I'm looking forward to it, in a strange way.

It should be interesting to see all chaos it will bring. Just another reason not to update, and take precautions not to update. I'm on 4.1U and everything works great, so will not be trying to change anything.

SMG2 does seem like the perfect time to spring an update on everyone. But I'm sure the genius staff here will figure out whatever the big N can throw at us.

Probably More " ANTIHACK" than 4.2, but not much.

much like the gaming community with all the anti hacks that r out there.... theres some real talented ppl out there they will always find a way around thiskinda stuff i used to play CS:source quit because of the cheaters I doubt nintendo will support regular wii for much longer they will move on to bigger and better AND for those that are worried DONT UPDATE i bought my wii a month ago... updated and still hanging with you all with a lesser menu that 4.2 everything works great xcept i cannot install cISO 222 or 223 been tryn to find a good simple tut ...everyone i find has links to go in so many dif directions i get confused dont help my kid is always on the wii so i never have time to mess around
