England out... Now time to train some proper players and pay them normal money instead of lottery winnings... They may appreciate it more..

I didnt expect them to win either, but a 4-1 defeat... is another story. They were so much better than we were and that all that is to it. Maybe a wage review should happen to all the players getting 100's of thousands a week, and they start getting paid depending on performance like the rest of the world has too.

I don't like football at all,as u say they get paid silly money for kicking a ball around.Don't get me wrong they have got talent in what they can do with a football, but if they were paid by the performance they give on the pitch and a more sensible wage at that, then they might start trying a bit harder and playing better for there money,if they play like xxxx then they get paid accordingly.
anything fast that makes a loud noise is what i prefer.

Theres alot of teams that dissapointed me. For one Italy was a huge dissapointment. Also France had nothing. I was surprised at how well New Zealand did. Since USA is out, Im going for Argentina.

I think the USA - England Game, suprised all of England, and I think our players underestimated the USA thinking it was gonna be easy and got a nasty shock... So fair play USA..

Yea but the sad part is that this USA team was the best team put together period. Even better than 2002 when they lost to Germany. They honestly should have lost to England. They should have lost to Slovania. They played horrible in the first half, but played good in the 2nd and was supposed to win but had a horrible ref. Still though they only start playing once they are down a goal. To make things worse, they almost got a draw against Algeria. Fact is that there are alot of teams that dont play as hard as they should. The players get paid entirly too much. Soccer (Futbol) think thats spelled right is a job just like every other job. The difference is that their are fans that come and watch the games. So if I had fans watching me build staircases, that mean I would make millions? Its rather pathetic. The contracts for all sports should be pro rated basically. We will give you X amount of money for scoring X amount of goals. Im a huge hockey fan and the team I am for (Philadelphia Flyers) have a goaltender they signed for 2 years, not sure the amount of money BUT he played not even 10 games, got injured, was basically done for the entire season and then retired. Since that happened, the team still has to pay the rest of his contract. And I have already seen pro players play extremly great and get a better contract extension only to play like crap.
