Am I seeing correctly that you changed your sys menu version, or do I just not know what I am talking about

Very interesting mauifrog. It seems you somehow managed to change the version number to something very high and managed to make it run under IOS58, because when I look at, I cannot find any system menu running under IOS58.

I think I stubbed ios53 when testing something else, forgot all about it. I suppose I should reinstall it. Also, the system ios displayed in a syscheck is not the ios running the system menu, but the ios running syscheck. So since syscheck was loaded from HBC with ios58, ios58 is displayed. ios90 is cios60-v6174

    Why use ios60 for ios90?
1- cios60 works very well for system ios 1.0-4.3 on all wiis, so it will probably work very well on the next system menu if it runs on ios90.
2- cios60 is patched with trucha, es-identify, and dip. So say the next system update fixes Indiana PWNS, smash stack, etc. If you had cios60 as your system ios you could run a recovery disk to re-hack the wii, if your drive could read burned media. Wiis with new drives would have to get a different drive or send the wii out for the hack, but the wii would always be hackable.
3- Region changed Korean wiis would not get 003 error when updated to system ios90.
