The joys of finals week, and the real joy of that week being over.

So today was my final legitimate day of class. For those of you who don't know I'm a returning college student this semester. Previously I was a working professional (of course not many people consider musicians professionals, but I do), hurt my back pretty good in '09 which prevented me from doing what I did, and have decided to return to continue on in my education.
Wrapping up this semester has been a tedious task, and as it always seems to happen I was swamped in these last couple weeks with reports and projects and presentations ad-nauseam. If I recall correctly, I've written (well, typed) around the area of 20 pages in reports, transcribed two vocal charts and arranged them for a saxophone presentation (on an instrument I haven't played in nearly two years), read a novel, made a formal presentation of that novel, and delineated a comparison of two separate philosophical theories of emotion for a very stressful report (which counted for 30% of the class grade): all in the last two weeks.
Was it worth it? Well sure, I'm back in college doing these things because I want to be (for the first time in my life, really). But it doesn't mean I don't love it when it's over!
Anyways, just needed to type that out somewhere. Glad to be done.
