wiiflow supports ntfs

I haven't switched to a full FAT32 HDD, but I have purchased a small 320GB HDD and have WBFS and FAT32 partitions just to experiment with a dual partition HDD. I think that the combo that you are using is good, I also plan to setup uLoader to run ww/vc games, unless something else comes along before I get around to doing it.

I still have my original GX also. I use WiiFlow mostly and have a fat32 partition. I like the idea of how you have yours set up, but just recently partitioned mine and backing up replacing the games is so time consuming. I am going to give the wiiware/vc another shot, using uloader this time. I Failed last time with triforce =(

am WiiFlow fan.

after some more testing around GX seems to be fine with fat32 partition......also wiiflow 2.1 ...you can still install games etc....

Why not just use SNEEK+DI?

I moved from ntfs/wbfs HDD to ntfs/fat32 HDD a few days ago I can safely say that this is the way forward.
No more "do you want to format drive ..." messages when i plug in my hard drive.
I can edit, back up so much easier
I dont use wii game manager I may have to look at that one I use wii backup manager and wiiflow

i was going to use ntfs but you cant rip the disc through wii.....

game manger is just a nicer GUI

the ntfs is just for my movies, music & photos to reside
the fat32 is where the games are.

game manger has a nicer gui..cool, backup manager is a little plain and boring.

with this setup, does this mean I wont have to use my sd card no more. Can someone link me the guide to this please.

All you have to do is make a folder on your fat32 partition call it wbfs...then use wii game manager google it and use it to convert your iso into .wbfs files.....

and thats it drag your sd to the fat 32 partition...make sure you use forwarders that look for the .dol on usb not just sd

Ill try that on my new hdd over the next few days.. for my current hdd, yesterday I went with the basic wbfs format so I could get my games up..

Say ehm... I have been using Triiforce since it's released to play my N64 games, but now I wanted to try uLoader. However, uLoader keeps asking me to format my partition to WBFS, which I don't want. So, my question to you, Cile, how can I get VC running via uLoader?

hi cile I'm setting up my new hdd now and firstly my hdd root looks a little different to yours. i copied my sd card to the newly formatted fat32 ext hdd and also created a wbfs directory. my hdd looks like this.

the above directories are exactly whats currently on my sd card, except the wbfs directory. and what I currently use to play games on my wii, both via dvd and ext hdd. But regarding the forwarders I'm not too sure how to make them look for the .dol on the usb.

Also as I was just going through the tutorial ""Full hacking guide for 4.2 system menus!!!! by messie"" to see if there was help help there, regarding the forwarders.I went through the guide and I'm not 100% sure if I completed steps D4 & D5 but I definitely know I didn't complete D6 & D7 as it was optional and I didn't want to push my luck. would it hurt if I did steps D4 & D5 again, just in case I didn't do it before.

and i strongly recommend you install priiloader its brick protection...it will stop retail disks from asking for update and if somebody accidentally clicks update it will give error.(instead of loosing your softmod)

Thanks for the advise, I have now installed hermes cios v4 & v5, ios 202, 222, 223. Also just installed priiloader too.

by the way, can I now remove ""IOS70-64-v6687 [Patched][FreeTheBug].wad"" file and hack.ini files off my sd card?

Im trying to follow your guide http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...tml#post399504 and from what I can see, is that Ive done most or all these steps, but on my sd card, what I would like to know is that, for me, do I only have to copy the sd card to my newly formatted fat32 usb ext hdd, and follow your guide from the ""OPTIONS SECTION"" (Usb Loader Forwarder Channels) all the way down to and including (Install cIOSXrev19)

or do I need to follow the whole guide.
