I've never myself witnessed any Trucha problems before, but this may be caused by the update disc being Trucha signed. Nintendo's 3.3 and 3.4 updates block the Trucha signing bug, rendering Trucha discs invalid.
You could try downgrading to 3.2 first, and then trying again. There's a guide by emperorofcanada in the faqs/guides section of the forum. If that's not you're problem, you should downgrade anyways to get Starfall running, which is one of the very rare ways to unbrick a Wii.
If nobody else tries to help, you might want to give downgrading a shot, otherwise, wait a while and see if a mod comes around to help.

Argon made truce with Twiizers a while ago, but with this kind of thing going on, I wouldn't trust the Argon2 guys releasing any quality products anytime soon.
