Question to argon or not to argon?

ok ive chipped a few wiis (all ntsc-u) this lattest one has me puzzled after chipping it with an argon it will not play originals or back-ups. if i remove the chip all is well as far as playing originals go. is the argon not compatible? or am i missing something? i rather go with an argon as ive worked w/them in the past but will change if need be. fyi the chip reads gc2-d2c and the larger chip reads gc2-d1a. the update is ver. 3.2 and its a ntsc-u console both chips have running numbers/letters under the gc2-d2c-- gc2d1a writting any thanks for any all help

Check the serial number to see if it is a d2c2 wii.

You can do that or just solder the argon on using the 17 wire method. I find that more stable than the 9 wire firmware anyways.
