Try removing the Wasabidx completely.....does the Wii work normally? If yes check ribbon cable to the Wasabidx is right way up.....check Wasabidx is correct way around also check region dip switches are correct.
If after removing Wasabidx the Wii drive still clicks try removing ribbon cables and reseat them. Check for damage to ribbon cables etc.
Just a few pointers, hope they are of some help.
