Bowling lets you add spin to your ball much the same way you would in real life. One of the training modes for bowling deals specifically with curving your throws. They put up various barriers in different parts of the lane and you have to put just the right spin on the ball to get around the barriers but still hit the pins that they have set up. It's pretty challenging.
Each of the sports has similar training modes to help you to learn how subtle Wii remote movements can alter your hits. And those training modes are essentially mini-games. Besides being trained, it keeps your score for those as well.
