Um...I couldn't figure out how to get a DVD to play. I don't think it's implemented in the current release. But thats why I have a DVD player.
Constant DVD playback can damage you Wii's DVD drive. With a game the Drive only reads the disk at the loading screen but with a DVD it's constantly reading off the disk.

Yeah it has a bit of trouble with hi-res videos. And MPEG4 plays slow for me.
