So its not the f points thats causing the drive to stop working, its definitely the wii clip itself, after removing the wii clip even with f points soldered the drive works and then doesnt after reattaching it, tried resetting the chip over and over but same problem I guess one of the contacts aren't touching. Im going to email where I got it from to get a replacement and hopefully that works but its definitely a pain when the process is supposed to be so simple, but it happens I guess.
