WASABI with V5 Clip on D2C, green light but unresponsive drive, please help!

So i just received my wasabi chip presoldered onto the V5 wii clip.

I have followed the instructions but still no luck. I soldered the F points. I get a red light for a second when I first power on the wii and then a solid green light on the wasabi but I get nothing at all from the dvd drive. Doesnt spin and I cant eject the disk.

If I remove the Chip and reconnect everything then it runs fine. If I reattach the chip I get the same solid green with an unresponsive drive. could it be a poor contact through the F points? I have already soldered twice and im trying not to damage the drives pcb :\ Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
