Jebise is correct because there are many factors that play into whether or not a burn will work. A lot of it is dependant on the quailty of your burner and how the laser is aligned in your Wii.

It is for this reason, that you will experience more success with slower burns.

It is also for this reason that whacker_guy gets success with DVD+RW since the RW laser is different from the -R and +R laser in his burner.

But to answer your original question about which media is best, my choice would be Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-R. Reasoning is they are one of the cheapest, but rated one of the best quality DVD-Rs around.

Other good DVDs are Mitusbishi, Hitachi-Maxell, Sony from Daxon (but not the SONY16D1) and TDK. Those brands will cost a lot more than the Taiyo Yudens.

Verbatims are good, but depends on which ones you get. Verbatim is currently supplied by Mitsubishi, Taiyo Yuden, CMC, Ricoh and Ritek. If you buy Verbatims that came from a CMC, Ricoh or Riteck manufacturer, then you've just paid premium $$$ for subpremium meida.

Anyways, I've probably babbled on for too long here but that's my 2 cents.
