If anyone could explain how to do this, or point me in the direction of a guide to do this, I would be most appreciative.

Info:
Uk Wii, D2C board, 3.1 firmware
d2pro9, 1.4 firmware

Thanks in advance,

Hi Grima,

I've been looking for a solution to the same problem for the past couple of hours and as of yet I've not been able to get a working copy.

Firstly, I'd like to say to jebise101 re: your comments. They weren't very helpful as you don't seem to understand why someone would want to make a DVD5 version of a DVD9 game. Obviously there is a need either due to cost of media, limited internet bandwidth (i.e. me), or people simply wanting to make their own backups fit to DVD5 that has warranted a number of NTSC guides dealing with this.

I'm in a similar situation to grima; I eventually want a DVD9 version when I get my hands on some dual layer media. I wanted to make sure my .iso was ok before I spent money on dual layer media, hence the delay between the download being ready and me having dual layer disks :P. Impatient and lazy as I am, a way to burn to DVD5 (which is pretty much making the DVD5 image jebsie101 suggested to download from an original DVD9 image) sounds very nice.

I've done a few test so far using some guides on GBAtemp.net, yet all I get are disk read errors from Wii Menu booting and green screens from trying to boot from GCOS. It looks like WiiScrubber isn't the best way to do it though; supposedly the PAL version differs in that the opening sequence spans the two layers of the disk, so WiiScrubber stuffs it up somehow.

I'll keep trying and I'll post a solution if I happen to get it working.

Oh and I've got an Aus (PAL) Wii with WiiKey, and whatever the latest firmwares are.. 1.9s or something..

Thanks.
