Us Wasabi Dx/Zero: may be #1 Chip

my wii has the GC2-DMS chipset. i decided to put a chip in it, but wanted to find the best one possible. so i thought about what i wanted from a modchip.

I wanted a modchip that was:

1.easy to install on my system
2.one of the newest on the market
3.had full capabilities including 6x read speed & gamecube audio streaming
4.that was made by a dedicated and talented team
5.that was as close to rock solid as you can get

*****i decided the Wasabi Zero was the chip for me, however i could not pass up buying the Wasabi DX, i got the newest 4th gen. chip and can use it as the Wasabi Zero that i desired, 2 chips in 1 is even better. ***********

i would have to say this is the easiest chip to install by far. all u have to do is press a cap like cover over ur chipset and its ready to play. it takes almost no talent at all and can be done by any able bodied persons.

the functionality and capabilities of it are excellent. the most important features in my opinion is the 16Mbit embedded Flash memory for firmware, full 6x read speed, gamecube audio streaming, and all the wanted configuration settings.

from use of this chip i have found that it lives up to everything its designed for. i run all games flawlessly and effortlessly. i feel team cyclops the creators of the dx/zero are the best. they offer the most consistent development updates that ive seen. they have proven to me that their drivecode is unmatched. it is such a good chip that i actually have peace of mind knowing its in there.

the wasabi dx/zero met all 5 personal requirements plus gave me a hell of whole lot more. so if your in the market for a new modchip and your looking for the same things i was, you cannot go wrong with the wasabi dx/zero. although you need to have a compatible chipset to use the zero so do your homework first. i hope this was some helpful insight.

My opinion of buying the Wasabi DX w/clip instead of buying Wasabi Zero.

the difference is, u get the newest chip on the market with the dx, which is the only solution for the new wii systems, so u know development on it will be constantly continuing, and u get to use it as a zero which offers full 6x read speed and gamecube audiostreaming which isnt currently possible with the dx. eventually they will discontinue the zero standalone as its not a viable choice for new wiis anymore. everything will now be going the 4th gen. route. unfortunately the 4th gen. chips lack a few things, so by getting the dx and using it as a zero, u get all the benefits of the 4th gen. chip with the full functionality of the 3rd gen. chip. also the wasabi dx is like buying 2 modchips in one, use it whichever way u want.
