Yeah, strange. Again, apparently it differs a lot from user to user. I have a batch of printable Verbatim DVD-Rs and a batch of normal, non-printable Verbatim DVD-Rs in use right now, and both of them work flawlessly with my Wii (as well as for DVD movies, PS2 games etc.).
